Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo

The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo is the epicenter of the Southwest, boasting more than 22,000 volunteers who contribute their unique talents and time to be part of the world's largest livestock display which is also the world's most spectacular rodeo and entertainment event. Since it began, it has made a huge impact on the livestock and entertainment industries, as well as within the popular sport of rodeo. The rodeo has also played a significant role in enriching the lives of many thousands of younger people in Texas. It has also celebrated many milestones in the past few decades which have all contributed towards Houston's most popular event.

Something unique to the Houston Rodeo is that every day’s rodeo events are followed by a concert featuring some of the biggest names in country, rock, hip hop and latin music. When the rodeo events are completed a stage is moved to the center of the ring and rotates to provide all seats with a clear view of the artists. Since in the previous years I didn’t purchased tickets to concerts at the Houston Rodeo, I’ve missed performances of artists like George Strait, Miley Cyrus, Hanah Montana, the Jonas Brothers, Bon Jovi, Toby Keith, Maroon 5, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Beyonce, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill or ZZ Top.

I’ve heard also that some of the most prized seats are the so called action seats, which are along both sides of the rodeo ring. Another plus of the action seat tickets is that they include complimentary food and beverages, with alcohol available for purchase. So, I will definitely go for this kind of seats at the next event in Houston. And just to let you know, I am looking for the performance of Mary J. Blige…
