Principles of insurance

1. A large number of homogeneous exposure units. Vast majority of the insurance policies are provided for individual members of very large classes. Automobile insurance, for example, covered about 175 million automobiles in the United States in 2004.[2] The existence of a large number of homogeneous exposure units allows insurers to benefit from the so-called “law of large numbers,” which in effect states that as the number of exposure units increases, proportionally the actual results are increasingly likely to become close to expected proportions. There are exceptions to this criterion. Lloyd's of London is famous for insuring the life or health of actors, actresses and sports figures. Satellite Launch insurance covers events that are infrequent. Large commercial property policies may insure exceptional properties for which there are no ‘homogeneous’ exposure units. Despite failing on this criterion, many exposures like these are generally considered to be insurable.
2. Definite Loss. The event that gives rise to the loss that is subject to the insured, at least in principle, take place at a known time, in a known place, and from a known cause. The classic example is death of an insured person on a life insurance policy. Fire, automobile accidents, and worker injuries may all easily meet this criterion. Other types of losses may only be definite in theory. Occupational disease, for instance, may involve prolonged exposure to injurious conditions where no specific time, place or cause is identifiable. Ideally, the time, place and cause of a loss should be clear enough that a reasonable person, with sufficient information, could objectively verify all three elements.
3. Accidental Loss. The event that constitutes the trigger of a claim should be fortuitous, or at least outside the control of the beneficiary of the insurance. The loss should be ‘pure,’ in the sense that it results from an event for which there is only the opportunity for cost. Events that contain speculative elements, such as ordinary business risks, are generally not considered insurable.
4. Large Loss. The size of the loss must be meaningful from the perspective of the insured. Insurance premiums need to cover both the expected cost of losses, plus the cost of issuing and administering the policy, adjusting losses, and supplying the capital needed to reasonably assure that the insurer will be able to pay claims. For small losses these latter costs may be several times the size of the expected cost of losses. There is little point in paying such costs unless the protection offered has real value to a buyer.
5. Affordable Premium. If the likelihood of an insured event is so high, or the cost of the event so large, that the resulting premium is large relative to the amount of protection offered, it is not likely that anyone will buy insurance, even if on offer. Further, as the accounting profession formally recognizes in financial accounting standards, the premium cannot be so large that there is not a reasonable chance of a significant loss to the insurer. If there is no such chance of loss, the transaction may have the form of insurance, but not the substance. (See the U.S. Financial Accounting Standards Board standard number 113)
6. Calculable Loss. There are two elements that must be at least estimable, if not formally calculable: the probability of loss, and the attendant cost. Probability of loss is generally an empirical exercise, while cost has more to do with the ability of a reasonable person in possession of a copy of the insurance policy and a proof of loss associated with a claim presented under that policy to make a reasonably definite and objective evaluation of the amount of the loss recoverable as a result of the claim.
7. Limited risk of catastrophically large losses. The essential risk is often aggregation. If the same event can cause losses to numerous policyholders of the same insurer, the ability of that insurer to issue policies becomes constrained, not by factors surrounding the individual characteristics of a given policyholder, but by the factors surrounding the sum of all policyholders so exposed. Typically, insurers prefer to limit their exposure to a loss from a single event to some small portion of their capital base, on the order of 5 percent. Where the loss can be aggregated, or an individual policy could produce exceptionally large claims, the capital constraint will restrict an insurer's appetite for additional policyholders. The classic example is earthquake insurance, where the ability of an underwriter to issue a new policy depends on the number and size of the policies that it has already underwritten. Wind insurance in hurricane zones, particularly along coast lines, is another example of this phenom

Make my Home feel Warm and Happy

After I come home at the end of a hard day at work and after I hang my jacket on the metal wall hooks, I need to find a warm and happy house. But first, I see the lights on the outside of my home which welcomes me and my family and makes a vibrant appearance.

Then the window lights welcome me home after the long day at work that I’ve been speaking about in the above paragraph, which makes my home look happy and homey. And from the inside at night it has a glow that can be used also as night lights. I have to tell you though, that I have window lights that come on at dark and go off at the day light.

And when I get to walk in the door at night and smell the pot roast cooking or the wonderful odor of stew simmering on the back burner, it marvelous even though this happens mostly on Fridays or on the weekends when special breads are cooked as well. But for the rest of the days, I am thankful with the candle aromas, when the entire house smells like apples and cinnamon. And what can I say more about the bird feeder at the window of my living room, when I see the sparrows hop around?

Whisky vs. Whiskey

The word "whisky" is believed to have been coined by the soldiers of King Henry II who invaded Ireland in the 12th century as they struggled to pronounce the native Irish words uisce beatha, meaning "water of life". Over time, the pronunciation changed from "whishkeyba" (an approximation of how the Irish term sounds) to "whisky". The name itself is a Gaelic claque of the Latin phrase aqua vitae, meaning "water of life".

At that time, all types of whisky were spelled without the "e" letter. But around 1870, the reputation of Scottish whisky was very poor as Scottish distilleries flooded the market with cheaper spirits produced using the Coffey still. The Irish and American distilleries adopted the spelling "whiskey", with the extra "e", to distinguish their higher quality product. Today, the spelling whisky (plural whiskies) is generally used for whiskies distilled in Scotland, Wales, Canada, and Japan, while whiskey is used for the spirits distilled in Ireland and America. Even though a 1968 directive of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms specifies "whisky" as the official US spelling, it allows labeling as "whiskey" in deference to tradition and most U.S. producers still use the historical spelling.

In the late Victorian era, Irish whiskey was the world's most popular whisky. "Scotch" is the internationally recognized term for "Scotch whisky" however it is rarely used in Scotland, where blended whisky is generally referred to as "whisky". In many Latin-American countries, whisky (wee-skee) is used as a photographer's cue to smile, supplanting English "cheese". The Uruguayan film Whisky got its name because of this reason.

UK home insurance

So, you've finally achieved your dream - you've moved overseas or landed that plum job abroad. You've left your home and the grey skies of Britain and are enjoying the fruits of your labour. But one concern you may have is the protection of your UK property against things like flood, fire, theft and damage etc. The good news is that whether it has been left unoccupied or you are renting it out, there is UK home insurance for Expats available.

Unoccupied property

If you are abroad and your property has been left standing unoccupied, then it may be vulnerable to many risks. Something like a small leak which is left could eventually cause a lot of damage; in an old property, an unsafe chimney stack could cause major problems; an empty property may also attract malicious damage; there is also the very real threat of fire ... and so the list of hazards goes on.

Because of these risks - which may be more likely to happen than if a property is occupied - finding UK home insurance for an unoccupied property may often be difficult. Even your mortgage lender may be uncomfortable in offering this kind of cover, due to the perceived extra risk of a claim potentially being made.

And your traditional home insurance policy will not usually be valid once the property has been unoccupied for more than a defined period within your policy - usually 30 days.

However, should a change in your circumstances occur - such as moving or working abroad - life still goes on. And that means that there is home insurance available for your UK property, even if it is unoccupied.

And it's not just insurance for unoccupied properties that can give peace of mind to Expats - typically you can find UK home insurance for properties that are rented out too.

Rented properties

If you are abroad and are renting out your property, the last thing you will want to do is to worry about anything happening to your asset. However, rented properties are just as vulnerable to risks as any other property - perhaps even more so.

Things can happen such as fire, flood, accidental damage and theft, as well as potential claims from tenants and visitors to the property for loss or injury.

For those renting out their property, UK home insurance for Expats is available that may typically help cover these risks and, in some cases, the additional perils that a landlord may face. These may include cover for things like rental loss where a rented property is damaged and temporarily uninhabitable.

Write a Bedtime Story

Have you thought someday to write a bedtime story, which at the end of each day, could be read to thousands of children around the world? Reading to children after getting them to beds is also quality time spent together. The stories are benefic in helping to extend a child's vocabulary while stimulating their imagination. As you prepare to write the story, grab a cup of hot chocolate and try to find your state of relaxation and comfort.

Typically, bedtime stories are short (between two and eight pages), and they are a useful way to start publishing without having to spend the time required to write a novel. What's more, you won't need an editor because you'll receive valuable feedback from fellow members, who may spot a mistake or offer tips for improvement. Mostly, members will be telling you how much their children enjoyed your story. It's a simple and enjoyable way to learn the craft.

In order for your story to capture the reader, you must gear your story and characters to the appropriate reader. For a picture story book, make sure you have enough scenes and pictures to clearly illustrate your whole story. For narration, use the best option for your story (you can write in "first person" narration or "third person" narration). Your characters should be easily likable and should be significant to the reader. Each character should be embraced and loved by the reader, so that they may connect with each character and their relevance in the story. Unfold your characters as you weave a beautiful tale of positive comfort. Your story's style and tone should influence the reader into a state of happy thoughts and peace. As you develop your plot, story line and settings, the audience should be delighted and enthralled with their thoughts, as they will soon be enriched in dreamland.

May your bedtime story come alive with enhancement in a whimsical tale and an exploration of happy thoughts. Isn’t it easy?

The Pleasure of Reading

These days, I found an article on the internet containing the following quote: a man may as well expect to grow stronger by always eating as wiser by always reading. Even if you like to read at your desk, or in the bed, or stretched on your zebra chaise, a good book develops you, and moreover takes you through some virgin territories you would not otherwise discover.

Because of the television and the internet, a lot of people spend less time reading. There are a lot of good books to find about history, novels, tragedies, comedies and a variety of other themes. And it is true that people who read more often have a bigger knowledge of life and also a bigger perspective of their environment. I think that the reading gives them an advantage over all others who do not read frequently.

The purpose of this post is to recommend you to enjoy reading more often. There are excellent reasons for doing it; you just have to want to expand your knowledge and your culture, to improve your imagination and also your vocabulary. In conclusion, find time to discover the richness of reading because reading can make you rich in mind and soul.

Lake Titicaca

Lake Titicaca is located on the border of Peru and Bolivia. It is one of the highest commercially navigable lakes in the world and, taking into consideration the volume of water, it is also the largest lake in South America. The western part of the lake lies within the Puno Region of Peru, and the eastern side is located in the Bolivian La Paz Department.

Lake Titicaca is fed by rainfall and melt water from glaciers on the sierras that abut the Altiplano. Five major river systems feed into Lake Titicaca: Ramis, Coata, Ilave, Huancané, and Suchez. More than 20 other smaller streams empty into Titicaca, and the lake has 41 islands, some of which are densely populated.

The origin of the name Titicaca is unknown. It has been translated as "Rock Puma", allegedly because of its resemblance to the shape of a puma hunting a rabbit, combining words from the local languages Quechua and Aymara, and as well as translated as "Crag of Lead." Locally, the lake goes by several names. Because the southeast quarter of the lake is separate from the main body (connected only by the Strait of Tiquina), the Bolivians call it Lago Huiñaymarca and the larger part Lago Chucuito. In Peru, these smaller and larger parts are referred to as Lago Pequeño and Lago Grande, respectively.

Conference Calling

A conference call is a telephone call in which the calling party wishes to have more than one called party listen in to the audio portion of the call. The conference calls may be designed to allow the called party to participate during the call, or the call may be set up so that the called party merely listens into the call and cannot speak. It is often referred to as an ATC (Audio Tele-Conference).
Conference calls can be designed so that the calling party calls the other participants and adds them to the call - however, participants are usually able to call into the conference call themselves, by dialing into a special telephone number that connects to a "conference bridge" (a specialized type of equipment that links telephone lines).

Companies commonly use a specialized service provider who maintains the conference bridge, or who provides the phone numbers and PIN codes that participants dial to access the meeting or conference call.

Three-way calling is available (usually at an extra charge) for many customers on their home or office phone line. To three-way call, the first person one wishes to talk to is dialed. Then the Hook flash button (known as the recall button in the UK and elsewhere) is pressed and the other person's phone number is dialed. While it is ringing, flash / recall is pressed again to connect the three people together. This option allows callers to add a second outgoing call to an already

Business

Businesses use conference calls daily to meet with remote parties, both internally and outside of their company. Common applications are client meetings or sales presentations, project meetings and updates, regular team meetings, training classes and communication to employees who work in different locations. Conference calling is viewed as a primary means of cutting travel costs and allowing workers to be more productive by not having to go out-of-office for meetings.

Conference calls are used by nearly all United States public corporations to report their quarterly results. These calls usually allow for questions from stock analysts and are called earnings calls. A standard conference call begins with a disclaimer stating that anything said in the duration of the call may be a forward looking statement, and that results may vary significantly. The CEO, CFO, or Investor Relations officer then will read the company's quarterly report. Lastly, the call is opened for questions from analysts.

Conference calls are increasingly used in conjunction with web conferences, where presentations or documents are shared via the internet. This allows people on the call to view content such as corporate reports, sales figures and company data presented by one of the participants. The main benefit is that the presenter of the document can give clear explanations about details within the document, while others simultaneously view the presentation.

Conference calls are also beginning to cross over into the world of podcasting and social networking, which in turn fosters new kinds of interaction patterns. Live streaming or broadcasting of conference calls allows a larger audience access to the call without dialing in to a bridge. In addition, organizers of conference calls can publish a dial-in number alongside the audio stream, creating potential for audience members to dial in if and when they wish to interact.

Party line

Conference calls can also be used for entertainment or social purposes, such as the party line or a group call. People call in to a specified telephone number, and are connected to conversations with other callers. This serves as a way to talk to and perhaps, subsequently, meet new people. However, conference calls are most commonly used by businesses.

Flat Rate Conferencing

Flat rate services are now being offered which enable conference call users to have unlimited access to a conference bridge at a fixed monthly cost. Because telecommunication carriers offer free long distance bundled with local service, this alternative is gaining widespread popularity for budget conscious businesses and non-profits.

In the UK, there are conference services offered on a pay as you go basis where the cost of the phone calls (using 0844, 0870 or 0871 numbers) from each of the participants covers the cost of the conference service. With this service type there is no monthly charge and usually no contracts to sign.

Prepaid conference calls

Prepaid conference call services allow businesses and individuals to purchase conferencing services online, and conduct conference calls on a pay-as-you-go basis. Typically, a conference call PIN and its associated calling instructions are displayed immediately online after being purchased and/or sent via email. Generally, prepaid conference call services are used with a landline telephone, mobile phone, or computer, and there is no need to buy additional expensive telecommunications hardware or add/switch long distance service. Some services allow you to start or join a conference call from virtually any country worldwide—with appropriate telephone access.

Large telecommunications providers such as AT&T, Embarq (formerly Sprint), Verizon and other large to medium conferencing service providers maintain a dominant position in the conferencing niche; servicing many of the World's biggest brands. However, the Internet and improved global VoIP networks have helped to significantly reduce the barrier of entry into this niche.

Free conference calling
See also: traffic pumping

Free conferencing is different from traditional conference calling where the organizer of the conference call pays either a flat rate fee or per minute charge or a mixture of both. It has no organizer fees and allows for multiple people to meet for the price of their long distance connections. Companies that provide free conference call services are usually compensated through traffic pumping arrangements, and consequently are subject to call blocking by some carriers. Calls to these seemingly free conference services and other reverse billing rate centers can be 20 times more expensive than a ‘normal’ call.
Premium conferencing

Here participants dial in on a premium-rate number typically beginning with the prefix ‘09’, the conference being hosted by anyone that adds value to the call in order to justify the premium rate element: this could be a celebrity, a sports personality, astrologer, lawyer, or expert in any given field. That person then receives the majority of the accrued revenue. Premium conferencing can also be used for charitable fundraisers.
[edit] Common causes of poor conference calls

There are three common causes of poor quality conference calls:

    * People simply not showing up.
    * Lack of familiarity with behaviour and protocol.
    * Technology.

Each of these causes requires a different kind of corrective action. However, there is usually one primary root cause; for example, people may not be showing up because the technology does not work, or the technology may not work because people are not familiar with it.

Technology problems tend to fall into two kinds: lack of bandwidth and poor equipment. Again, it is worth checking which of these apply in the case of technology problems.

Low Cost Auto Insurance

Do not spend on anything but the essentials these days. Car insurance is mandatory, but you don't have to get ripped off. You can save a lot of money on auto insurance, but it will take a little bit of work. You will need to shop around online and get multiple rate quotes from different companies.

Living life as a female has a few definite advantages. One of the bigger breaks you can get is on your auto insurance. Did you know that women get into fewer collisions than men? Because of that simple fact they tend to pay out less a month in auto insurance premiums.
Growing up fast is not something to wish on anyone. When it comes to car insurance getting a little bit older means saving more money. Your auto premium rates can reduce by a lot over the course of a few years when you go from 18 to over 25.

Everything is online these days. Looking for information? Most likely you're going to head to google and type in your search and you're off and running. It's no different with car insurance as you most likely will use Google and other search engines to comparison shop your insurance rates.

Sports car insurance can be very pricey. Corvette, Porsche, BMW and many other high performance vehichles are expensive to purchase and can be even more costly to insure. Expect to fork over close to double what a normal car might pay for your luxury sportscar.

Almost any insurance broker will give you access to a free rate quote for your motor vehicle if you call them up and ask. It's easy to pick up the phone and find out what it takes to get the cheapest rate on your next car's auto insurance.

Insurance.com is where to go to get the best rates on auto insurance. Their site is easy to use and fun for you to navigate as you go through the mundane task of shopping for auto insurance. It only takes a few minutes of your time.

Your loved ones know you best and they also have a lot of worldly experience. Lean on their advice the next time you consider getting another rate quote from an auto insurance company in the US.

“Health Insurance”: The Illusion of Equality

If health insurance is not insurance, what is it? It's a modern version of the illusion that all men are equal—or, when ill, ought to be treated as if they were equal. When religion was the dominant ideology, death was (supposed to be) the great equalizer: once they departed the living, prince and pauper were equal. Today, when medicine is the dominant ideology, health care is (supposed to be) the great equalizer: everyone’s life is “infinitely precious” and hence deserves the same protection from disease. Of course, prince and pauper did not receive the same burial services, and rich and poor do not receive the same medical services. But people prefer the illusion of equality to the recognition of inequality.

Actually, the ruled have always longed for “universal health care,” and the rulers have always supplied them with a policy that the masses accepted as such a service. In the Middle Ages, universal health care was called Catholicism. In the twentieth century, it was called Communism. In the 21st century, it is called Universal Health Insurance. What we choose to call “health insurance” is, in fact, a system of cost-shifting masquerading as a system of insurance.

We treat a public, statist political system of health care as if it were a system of private health insurance purchased for the purpose of obtaining private medical care.

Everyone knows but no one admits that health insurance is not really insurance. In fact, Americans now view their health insurance as an open-ended entitlement for reimbursement for virtually any expense that may be categorized as “health care,” such as the cost of birth-control pills or Viagra. The cost of these services is covered on the same basis as the cost of medical catastrophes, such as treatment for the consequences of a brain tumor. Such distorted incentives produce the perverted outcomes with which we are all too familiar.

From a public-health point of view, the state of our health is partly, and often largely, in our own hands and is our own responsibility, even if we have a chronic illness, such as arthritis or diabetes. It is an immoral and impractical endeavor to try to reject that responsibility and place the burden for the consequences on others.

Health Insurance

40 million Americans are said to have no health insurance. Those who do have health insurance are frustrated by having to pay ever-increasing premiums for steadily diminishing medical services. Conventional wisdom tells us that we are facing a “health insurance crisis.”

It is important to recognize that what we call “health insurance” has little to do with health and nothing to do with insurance. We do not face a “health insurance crisis.” We face the consequences of a set of economic and social problems rooted in a futile effort to make the distribution of health care—unlike the distribution of virtually every other good and service in our society—egalitarian.

The typical contractor of homeowner’s insurance is the homeowner. He buys insurance to protect himself from costly loss caused by events outside his control, such as fire, not to defray the recurring expense of maintaining it. The ideal outcome for both the buyer and the seller of home and automobile insurance is for the policyholder to never make use of his policy.

The typical contractor of health insurance is not the insured person but his employer. Neither party is free to negotiate the terms of the policy. The employee cannot bargain for a lower premium in exchange for a high deductible or for choosing to be not covered for alcoholism or schizophrenia. The employer is not free to decline coverage for state-mandated medical services. In New York State, for example, the Women’s Wellness Act mandates group health-insurance plans to cover contraceptives including abortifacients, and the Infertility Coverage Act mandates that they cover infertility treatments, including selective fetal reduction (abortion of multiple fetuses conceived by artificial means).

The economic survival of an insurance company depends in large part on collecting more in premiums than it pays out in claims. To bring about that outcome the insurer employs certain methods, some complicated, some very simple. Although embarrassingly obvious, some of these simple measures need to be mentioned because they are absent from what we mislabel “health insurance.” For example, a person cannot buy a policy to protect himself from a loss caused by his own actions, such as burning down his own home. But so-called health insurance protects the individual from the medical consequences of his own actions, for example, injuring himself by smashing his car while drunk. Not surprisingly, all the participants in the complex scheme we call “health insurance” are unhappy with the result.

In the case of genuine insurance, there is a direct relationship between the dollar value of the protection purchased and its cost to the insured. The premium for a life-insurance policy with a face value of $100,000 is less than for a policy for a multiple of that amount. In health insurance no such relationship exists between premium paid and compensation received. Moreover, the health-insurance company, acting on its own behalf, can write a contract with a “cap” on claims, that is, for the maximum amount it will pay the insured, regardless of the health-care cost he incurs. The insured person, who typically does not act on his own behalf but is “provided” insurance as an important part of his job benefit, has no reciprocal options.

The sole rational purpose of true insurance is to protect the insured from an unanticipated economic loss so large as to jeopardize his economic well-being. No one sells or buys insurance to cover the cost of maintaining his property. Home insurance does not pay for plumbing repairs; automobile insurance does not pay for replacing worn-out windshield wipers. Yet people demand precisely this kind of reimbursement from so-called health insurance.

Top 5 Safest Cars

Below I will present you the top 5 safest cars. According to Forbes.com, Audi Q7, Mitsubishi Outlander, Volvo XC90, Saturn Vue and the Mercedes-Benz M Class are the top 5 safest cars of 2009. So if you’re going to end up in an accident somehow, let’s hope you’re driving one of these cars.

Audi Q7, the safest from the above mentioned cars, earned the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration highest crash-test ratings of five stars. It has driver and passenger head restraint whiplash protection, front side airbags for chest and pelvis protection and energy-absorbing padding under the instrument panel to protect feet and legs.

Even though the mentioned cars are supposed to bring an extra safety for you and your family, the insurance don’t have to be ignored. Short Term Insurance could be an option, since it is a flexible insurance to suit everyone’s needs.

Namun pepatah mengatakan " LAUT AKAN KUDAKI, LAUTAN AKAN KUSEBRANGI , NAMUN JIKA HUJAN MENGHALANGI AKU TAK AKAN DATANG KERUMAHMU MALAM INI "....kwakwakwa....

Bagaimana dengan perayaan tahun baru kalian my friends...apakah menyenangkan atau malah menyakitkan.....jangan lupa komentar kalian mengenai apa yang kalian lakukan untuk menyambut tahun baru...

Using Life Insurance To Shelter Income

In a nutshell, a tax shelter allows your investments to the grow free of tax. Many people think tax shelters are only for the rich but the biggest users of tax shelter is the middle class. When you buy a RRSP (IRA or 401K in the US), you are in fact buying a tax shelter. The money made inside the RRSP is allow to grow tax free until it’s taken out.

There are a few problems with a RRSP. The first is the Canadian government won’t allow you to put more than 18% of your income or $16,500, whichever is less, into a RRSP. The second problem is the money is subject to income tax when it’s taken out.

Another way to shelter income is by using life insurance. Life insurance proceeds are passed tax free to your beneficiaries. That’s good for your beneficiaries but what if you want the money? All whole life and universal life insurance policies have a cash surrender value that you get if you give up the insurance. If you take the cash, your beneficiaries get nothing and the money taken out gets taxed. Not a good deal. However, there is a way around this.

With the exception of term insurance, all other life insurance policies are made up of two components, the insurance component and an investment component. The key here is the investment component. While the money is inside the policy, its allowed to grow tax free, just like a RRSP. Knowing this, many investors put way more money than they have to into their policy. For example, a 37 year old non smoking female has to pay $622.50 a year to get $1 million of life insurance. If all she does is put $622.50 into her plan, all she’ll have is insurance. Anything above that amount goes into the investment component.

To prevent people from dumping in their life savings, the government sets limits on the maximum premium you can pay into a policy and still keep its tax shelter status. In the above example, the maximum is $41,847.61 a year. The higher your insurance needs, the higher the limit. Let’s assume that the above put $41,000 a year into her policy for 3 years and then stops after that. After paying for insurance cost the rest will go into the investment component, where it will grow tax free. If we assume an 8% yearly rate of return the policy will have a cash value of $1.3 million and death benefit of $2.15 million when our 37 year old female reaches 65. If she takes the cash, it gets taxed and she loses the death benefit. How can she take cash out, keep the death benefit and not pay taxes? By borrowing against the cash value.

A bank will lend up to 90% of the cash value on an insurance policy. So our investor can borrow up to $1.17 million from the bank to spend as she feels like. The money would not be taxed because it’s not income. The bank would capitalize the loan so she doesn’t have to make any payments. How does the bank get its money back? When she dies, the death benefit will pay off the bank loan plus accrue interest and any money left over will go to her beneficiary tax free.

So here you have an investment strategy that is completely sheltered from tax, allows you to take money out of the plan tax free, and allows you to transfer your estate to your heirs’ tax free. As with all investments, you should seek out the advice of an experience financial planner before proceeding.

Auto Quotes

By taking the time to shop for and compare auto insurance quotes, you can find the best policy that is right for you, many times you can lower the cost of your auto insurance coverage.

Many drivers see auto insurance as a necessary expense, but one that is distasteful to them. When asked if they’d pay for auto insurance if it wasn’t required by law, some admit that if they didn’t have to pay for auto insurance they’d save themselves the money.

The truth is that given the right insurance, in unexpected circumstances it can be very beneficial to have paid those insurance premiums every month. Auto insurance can provide financial protection and help prevent severe financial hardship in the event of an unexpected accident.

Shopping around and getting auto insurance quotes from several companies can allow you to compare the companies, their policies, and the cost of their premiums. In order to effectively do this though, you need to have enough information to make a real comparison between one set of auto insurance quotes and another.

This information can help you make sure that you get the coverage you need from a good company at the lowest rate.

So what should you do to make sure that you get the most accurate auto insurance quotes available? Here are some suggestions from experts:
1. Make sure that you compare similar policies.

Auto insurance quotes take into account the types of coverage you select, the amount of deductibles you’re willing to pay and a number of other factors when figuring your premium. In order to accurately compare a number of quotes, make sure that each quote you request is for the same options on your policy.

2. Give the same amount of information to each agent that you ask for auto insurance quotes.

Whether you’re comparing quotes online through a web interface or over the telephone, the amount that you’re quoted will be affected by where you live, how far you drive to work each day, how old you are, who else may drive your car, as well as a number of other factors.

The more information you can give when you ask for a quote, the more accurate the insurance agent can be with his estimate. The opposite of that holds true, too – the less information you give, the more general the quote will be. If there is any question, an agent will usually quote you a higher rate.

3. Ask about special discounts for safety features as well as safe driver points.

When you’re gathering quotes for auto insurance, be sure to ask directly about safety feature discounts and safe driver discounts that may apply in your situation. Then you can be sure that they are included in your quotes.

4. Understand the differences in insurance terminology.

What is the difference between collision coverage and comprehensive coverage? How can raising your deductible lower your insurance costs? What will replacement transportation or glass coverage cost, and is it worth it for you? Researching the answers to these questions and knowing which options are included in your auto insurance quotes will make it far easier to decide which is the best policy for you.
