Spanish Ham is considered a delicacy that lots of people adore. Once somebody tastes this specialty, it is for sure that will like to have it al least once more. The reason behind is its amazing tang which was saved by the Spanish citizens since organization of Roman Empire. Due to this, I will present you two of the most known types of Spanish ham: Jamon Serrano and Jamon Iberico.

Jamon Serrano is considered to be one of the famous types of hams produced nowadays. Though it requires an extended time for the desired flavor to be obtained, waiting for it is unquestionably worthy as this flavor can surely amaze everybody. The Rolling Landrace White Pig over salt has an important role in achieving the savor that makes Jamon Serrano exceptional. Subsequent to that, it has to be hung for a certain time frame to get the salt completely absorbed by the pork, and to make its fats into useful components. The proven fact that this ham has fewer fats as compared with the Italian Prosciutto, it makes it even more interesting to fitness aware people. Nothing appears more extraordinary when served with cheese and olives.

Jamon Iberico however, is the Spanish Ham created from Pata Negra Iberico pig pork. It is a motivating thing to know that the food of pig that it has eaten before it is slaughtered also effect the tang of its meat. Different from Serrano ham, of which pigs were fed with industrial food, Jamon Iberica came from pigs that only eat or drink corns on a day by day basis. To get this extra tasteful flavor, the meat is kept for more than two years. Both Serrano and Iberico hams are produced using the animal’s rear legs. The forelegs of pig are also used but they have more fats. Serving it with a glass of good wine and also with traditional olives, enhance the taste enough to be never forgotten.
