It’s Raining

I´m singin´ in the rain
Just singin´ in the rain,
What a glorious feeling,
And I´m happy again.
I´m laughing at clouds
So dark, up above,
The sun´s in my heart
And I´m ready for love.

The gloomy weather of today took me, a few times, thinking to the lyrics of Sinatra. And if my body is a prisoner in the office, in front of a gray screen, near a window almost opened where you can hear the drops of rain felling with sadness, I allowed me to walk on my thoughts for a few moments, in some wonderful places. Which I remember to be so sunny and so happy...

I stopped for a moment in Athens, on Adrianou Street in a typical tavern and I sat at a table which allows me to watch the Acropolis in silence. The waiter brought me, without delay, a carafe of red wine which I drank while waiting for the Greek salad and the chicken souvlaki garnished with tzatziki sauce. From my right, a native recommends a glass of Ouzo. Efxari'sto po'li...

Then I found myself walking the streets of Barcelona, starting on Rambla from Catalonia Square in a hurry to go to a restaurant in Port Vell, where it serves wonderful paella with seafood. Looking for a solitary table from where I can contemplate the sea and drink a first glass of cool sangria. It's so hot...

Instead of dessert, I enjoy a walk along the narrow streets of Montmartre. I smile to painters on studded and sloping roads and then I get some rest at a small brasserie near the Sacre Coeur basilica. Having the walls covered with paintings and old photographs, jazz music in the background and the menu written by the owner on a tablet. I venture to some salmon cakes and a glass of wine specially recommended by a charming Garcon...

And, in a later, I go back to Bucharest. It’s almost dark, but it’s no longer raining…
